Online Recruiting | Tips for Network Marketers

Online recruiting or frankly, recruiting in general is one of the most common obstacles people face in network marketing. Now on one hand, some people are fortunate that they have a strong hot or warm market and their business gets off to an incredible start. Whereas others, have a harder time in this area.

In this post, and included video — I’m going to share with you 2 avenues you can take to online recruiting. However, I think you will find the second one much more attractive.

Additionally, I’m going to include a few tips to help you maximize avenue number two. This way, I hope you can avoid avenue number one at ALL costs!

Online Recruiting Avenues You Might Consider

Let’s get real here for a moment … avenue number one is where most new people starting out in network marketing find themselves; using online recruiting to convince people to join them. Please, STOP that! The moment you have to convince someone to join your business is the same moment your house of cards is built.

Successful recruiters and 6 figure earners have one thing in common; they make as many friends as possible — consistently.

Making friends and building relationships with people is essential in network marketing. Period. Whether you do so by joining groups and sharing hobbies or activities with people, connecting with others and being authentic in your interest or simply reaching out an starting a conversation.

This can be achieved through the various social media platforms.

Making friends does not mean recruiting or prospecting all of them. It means interacting and sharing great content to have them know, like and trust you.

According to Les Brown “a man convinced against his will, is of the same opinion still.”

One important fact to keep in mind is that people join people, not companies. People join to become a part of your team, your culture. So, be uplifting, encouraging and positive towards others. Show sincere gratitude and appreciation for things done by others.

There is no business without ups and downs. Let them know about this — be real with them. It won’t be all rosy, let them know that. If they are well prepared, then they won’t just run away if or when times get tough. Keeping these few things in mind, will help you steer clear of convincing others.

So instead of the convincing model let me ask you this …

Have you considered the benefits of attraction marketing?

The truth is that anybody can use attraction marketing, especially those who run business online. It doesn’t matter if you’re selling a product, service or trying to build an email list, you can use attraction marketing. This is especially beneficial for online recruiting.

Why?

Because I promise you it is so much nicer having people inquiring in your inbox about your offering instead of the other way around. Think about the content you put out there for people. This matters.

We always teach our clients the 3 E’s;

  1. Empower
  2. Entertain
  3. Educate

When your posts are able to conquer these 3 things (not necessarily all in the same post), you are well on your way to attracting the right people to your business. Online recruiting can feel like a serious chore when you cold message and hear ‘no’ over n’ over. However, with the right strategy and consistency — attraction marketing can keep that funnel fill while building a solid foundation.

I want to leave you with a few more tips before I go …

  1. Develop an online recruiting mindset — Be brave and know that you are trying to share a great gift with someone.
  2. Make a decision — Make up your mind to learn and develop the skills to be able to recruit. Make up your mind to pass your fear of talking to people and come out of your shell.
  3. Tell great stories — You should be able to collect and tell good stories. It could be stories about your upline, downline, your company, the products, or your compensation plan.
  4. Listen first — Talking and selling can be challenging, and the only way you can understand your prospects needs is to ask questions — and listen for the response. Talk less, listen more.

How do you find recruiting in your business? Were these tips helpful? Be sure to share them with those in your network whom you KNOW will benefit! Online recruiting doesn’t need to be a nightmare when you’re equipped with the right resources and skills required.
