Video Marketing Benefits for Network Marketers
Last year and into 2017, we saw a huge increase in the popularity of video marketing format for content delivery. We were introduced to 360-degree videos to Facebook Live. And, marketers should be responding to audiences’ shorter attention spans by making content more interactive and visual. Those who have adjusted are seeing a pay off.
Video marketing is growing to dominate your audience’s online activity.
I mean, look at these couple stats…
78% of people watch videos online every week, and 55% watch videos online every day. If you don’t already have a video marketing strategy in place for your network marketing or direct sales business, you are missing a tremendous opportunity to reach and create engagement with your audience.
Think back to the last video you watched.
What did it make you do? Chances are, it was able to elicit some type of emotion from you. Perhaps it was laughter, value/education, sadness, anger, etc. Now, think of the last video you watched where you may have bought something. Either from the video itself or the person on the video.
Do you see where I’m going with this?
Videos, in 2017 are predicated to reach 74% responsible for web traffic. Traffic meaning eyeballs on a person, product or service. Another fun fact? There have been more videos uploaded in a single month – than television has created in three (3) decades.
Digest those numbers for a moment.
If you want traffic, you need to be doing videos. Now, we know there are different platforms of video marketing; Facebook, YouTube, Vimeo, Periscope, Instagram and SnapChat (and more). Personally, my focus is on Facebook (Live) and I repurpose to YouTube (more on that another time).
Four Benefits of Video Marketing
- Video boosts conversion rates (sales, reps, etc)
- Search engines love video
- Video builds trust and credibility
- Video encourages social shares
For the purposes of this post I want to focus primarily on video in a general topic.
In the next few posts we will be diving in more on the power of Facebook Live specifically how it help you become a better recruiter.
Having said that – make sure you download my FREE course available at the end of this post for Facebook Live GOODIES!
Video Marketing Boosts Conversions
HubSpot, suggests that using video can increase conversions up to 80%. (conversion is simply getting someone to respond to your call-to-action). Watching a presenter/host in a video can influence buying behavior and persuade a visitor to convert into a lead (or a lead into a customer/rep) instead of them solely reading the information.
When it comes to network marketing or direct sales – your video marketing might centred around health and wellness tips that later will turn into purchasing a product you endorse (or use). Maybe you deliver value on how to apply makeup professionally, tutorials are great starting points.
The goal? To attract likeminded people, who are looking to you as the expert. They are looking to you for guidance, direction, suggestions, etc. Because video already subconsciously positions you as the expert to someone – own that space.
Search Engines (and Facebook) Love Video
Search engines are looking for content that engages viewers, all the time. And, nothing entices more views and longer page views quite like a video. Not only that, YouTube is the second largest search engine behind Google. What this tells us is this – people love video.
They love it for several reasons – including when they are searching for something.
And, when you put your video on Facebook (or other video platforms), your visibility and opportunity to show up in search is greatly increased. This is also true for the Facebook algorithm – videos are definitely favored on the timelines. And, as a result the more interaction and engagement, the larger the reach.
Facebook Live videos increase that edge rank even a bit more – despite most views on a Facebook Live come from replay viewers. Although I’ll dive into more specifics on Facebook Live again soon – take this fact about replay viewers and remind yourself of that the next time you ‘Go Live’. The viewer count while live can be motivating – but chances are the conversions will be higher viewed on a replay.
Video Marketing Builds Trust and Credibility
Creating content through video is the perfect way to create a personality for your brand. It enables you to connect with your viewer (audience) and earn their trust.
90% of users say that product videos are helpful in the decision process.
The more videos you have to help add value, educate and inform your audience – the more you will build on that foundation of trust. And, more importantly you can do this without having to name your products specifically or business name.
Allow the viewers to connect with YOU. Your style.
And trust translates to sales.
Social Sharing on Steroids
We are a time of our lives – personal and business alike – of viral videos. 92% of people at one point or another have shared a video. Whether this be on a public newsfeed, a group or in an instant message on Facebook for example. Social sharing is what helps you build an audience and often reach people you may not have reached otherwise.
You can encourage people to share your video with others who might benefits – and in network marketing while you are keeping your videos non company specific, this is a great way to meet others in the niche who can also benefit from your value.
Be personable in your videos – authenticity is key.
Video marketing is only growing in reach and you’re only limited by your own imagination. From creating a how-to video to using Facebook live, there is a wide range of opportunities for you to choose from. Everyone should be getting on board with video.
